Melissa's Wedding - October 2006

We drove up to Poughkeepsie, NY, for the wedding of our friends' daughter, Melissa.  We arrived on Saturday night, and stayed at the Residence Inn in Fishkill, NY, a few hundred yards from the IBM building I used to work at.  That building is gone now, but we had dinner at the Denny's that we used to have lunch at when I worked there.  On Sunday morning we drove around the area to see how it had changed since we moved away from there 19 years ago.  We drove past our first apartment (now a condo) and the house we lived in before we moved to NC.  Then we went to the wedding, in Wappingers Falls, NY.  The reception afterwards was in East Fishkill.  The next day we stopped at our friends' house before leaving to go to our Pocono Palace vacation.

The hill across the street.  I spent a lot of time looking at that hill out the window when I was at IBM

Our first home, the White Gates Apartments (now Condos).  They look better now than they did when we lived there 30 years ago.

The house we left to move to NC.  Looks like they did some major renovations, including new siding and a new door.  The fence wasn't there before either.

Here we are, all dressed up for the wedding.
