1983 was a big year for us.  Pat's sister gave birth to her first child, Jeanette, in January.  In March, we moved to a larger house, with a big yard for the boys to play in.  Later that year we had Steve's 5th birthday and Kevin's first.  Pat's brother Steve was married in 1983 and my brother Bob graduated from college.  And our Steve had a graduation too, from preschool.  Here are the photos (5 pages worth):

We started out the year with a big snowstorm.

It was hard to see down the street when backing out of the driveway.

We had to finish the family room in the old house as part of the sales contract.

In March we moved to a larger house, on over one acre of land, in the Town of Wappinger.  The house was over 20 years old and needed some work.

Pat, with our new kitchen in the background.  The kitchen floor was disintegrating after an apparent refrigerator leak, and the dishwasher had no motor.  Eventually we fixed those problems, and also installed a new cooktop and oven, plus a new kitchen counter.
